About the Artist

Curtis Griffin - Minerva Delgado-Lopez, Bastrop, Texas

Curtis Griffin is a Fine Art Painter and Web Developer who calls Bastrop, Texas home after 15 years in Austin. Working across multiple mediums—oil, aerosol, and acrylic—Griffin has flourished in recent years in his home studio, brought murals to life in public spaces, and engaged in live painting at local events, contributing to the vibrant art scenes of Austin, Bastrop, and Central Texas.

A graduate of Tyler School of Art at Temple University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Griffin also studied at the university’s Rome campus in Italy and had the privilege of completing his last year of study under Stanley Whitney. Griffin’s recent work explores the intersection of contemporary culture, technology, and the modern systems that shape identity, belief, and perceived reality.

Additionally, with 20+ years of experience in web design and development, Griffin specializes in building standards-compliant websites and software with a focus on accessibility, performance, and modern front-end architectures. Since 2011, he has worked as a Web Developer at The University of Texas at Austin, where he currently supports The Meadows Center. In 2018, he founded Griffin Insight, LLC to umbrella his creative work.

When he’s not painting or coding, you’ll find Griffin supporting the local art scenemaking beats, riding his mountain bike, or tinkering around in the backyard – his current favorite place.
