Curtis Griffin
About the Artist

Curtis Griffin is a Fine Art Painter and Web Developer who calls Bastrop, Texas home after 15 years living in Austin. Working across multiple mediums—oil, aerosol, and acrylic—Griffin has flourished in the past few years in his home studio, has brought murals to life in public spaces, and engaged in live painting at local events, contributing to the vibrant art scenes in Austin, Bastrop, and Central Texas.
He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University, where he majored in Painting & Drawing, with minors in Art History and Glass Blowing. During his time there, Griffin had the privilege of studying under Stanley Whitney and studying abroad in Rome, Italy—experiences that deeply influenced his creative process.
Additionally, with over 20 years in web design and development, Griffin specializes in semantic markup, accessibility, and modern front-end development. He currently works as a Web Developer at The Meadows Center at The University of Texas at Austin.
When he’s not painting or coding, you’ll find Griffin supporting the local art scene, producing music, riding his mountain bike, or tinkering around in the backyard, his current favorite place.
