I got a shoutout in the Austin American-Statesman for a mural I completed for the City of Bastrop. The mural is located in Bastrop’s Historic North End at Delgado Park, named in honor of Civil Rights pioneer Minerva Delgado — the first Hispanic student to attend an all-white elementary school in the United States, right here in Bastrop in 1942. This project was especially meaningful to me, as I recently bought my first home just a few blocks from the park and now live in Bastrop after living in Austin for 15 years.
